Someone has answered our prayers.

Konami just dropped a little tidbit of information about a little something called a Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots 40GB PlayStation 3 Gun Metal Gray bundle, but you're probably not too interested in that. Wait, you are? Oh, well, forgive me. Let us get right down to it then.
On May 19th, you can pre-order the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots PlayStation 3 bundle, but you probably already knew that. Did you also know that the bundle includes the limited edition version of the game and a DUALSHOCK 3 controller? All of that for only $599.99. It's almost like robbery, but the good kind.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the last part in a multi-part saga featuring Solid Snake, who has had a hand in shaping the video game industry over the last decade. In the game, Snake is all grown up (well, older) and spends his time running around the world in pursuit of his nemesis, Liquid Ocelot. New gadgets, abilities, and environments are packed into the Blu-ray, waiting for players to jump in and globe trot alongside Snake.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots in all its various forms, standard, limited, and bundled up, hits the PlayStation 3 on June 12th, retailing for $59.99, $84.99, and $599.99 respectively. If you're after the limited edition version of the game, you'll need to head to your local Gamestop to snatch it up.
June 12th just can't come soon enough.
