Kane & Lynch Hits Stores Early

HAHAHA, get it? Hit? Cause they kill people? Well fine!

With all the high-profile releases coming out over the next few months, we'd almost forgotten about Io Interactive's first big departure from their Hitman series since the completely awesome Freedom Fighters, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men. The tale of a complete psycho and a mercenary with a dirty past trying to find redemption and revenge has been kinda running silent for a while now.

Luckily, every time it's poked its head to the surface for a quick flash, the game has looked fantastic. Now granted, it's also looked fantastic on either the PC or the Xbox 360, with the PS3 version nowhere to be found, but Io Interactive is nothing if not a massive pool of development talent, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that the PS3 version isn't going to end up the ugly, stuttering, busted, barren online stepchild to the other versions. Either way, we're going to find out soon: Eidos has stepped up the release date of the game by a week to November 13th.

“We’re excited to ship Kane & Lynch: Dead Men earlier than expected and get a jump on the holiday season," squealed Robert Lindsey, EVP of Sales and Marketing at Eidos. "Kane & Lynch will offer something entirely fresh and unique in terms of narrative depth and character, but also as a next-generation action title.”

We're excited too, Robert. We're excited too.
