Ubisoft, GameTrailers.com, and Korn Mash-up Contest

Haven't been paying any attention to Haze? You might want to start now.
Ubisoft and Gametrailers.com are throwing together a little contest with some major prizes. But you have to bring some skill with a video editing program and creativity to the mix, because mash-ups is what you're going to be doing and they better be killer.
Starting May 19th, GameTrailers.com is launching a contest[/url where entrants will get access to in-game footage of Haze, live concert footage of Korn, and some of the band's song “Haze” that was inspired by the game. Participants will then do a mash-up of the footage and create a music video before submitting it.
What do you get for all your trouble? First place scores a Sony 46” HDTV, a PlayStation 3, a customized Haze guitar signed by Korn, an amp, and $1,000. Second place walks away with a PlayStation 3, the entire collection of Korn CDs, Ubisoft's entire library for the PlayStation 3, and $500. Third place gets Korn's entire collection of CDs and Ubisoft's library of games for PlayStation 3. Not a bad haul, if I do say so myself.
"The fundamental link between video games and music, namely the emphasis on creative spirit, is something that cannot be ignored," said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. "By developing this contest, with Korn and our partners at GameTrailers, we have found a way to let amateurs try their hand at playing producer, and really bring their passion for both industries to light. We’re looking forward to seeing the submissions and anticipate having to make a tough decision in declaring a winner."
The panel of judges will include Jonathan Davis, Korn's long-standing frontman, representatives from Ubisoft and GameTrailers, and GameTrailers.com viewers. All submissions will go up on GameTrailers.com so viewers get a chance to watch and cast their vote.
