Korn Creates New Song For... HAZE?
Yeah, we know, it's weird. Wanna guess what the song is called?

The crossover between video games and music didn't take too long. Just about as soon as games moved to CD and thanks to Sony's close relationship with their music studios, it didn't take long for games to start getting peppered with licensed tracks. In some cases, like with the pure awesomeness that was WipEout, we got a soundtrack that was almost as good and well thought-out as the game itself. Of course, for every WipEout (and their equally good PS one sequels), we had a game that took whatever was hot at the time (which, for like five years was apparently Rob Zombie's "Dragula") and just tossed it on the disc.
The PS2 era brought a little more experimentation; publishers like Midway started courting shall we say... less-than-mainstream acts to provide tracks for their games, and for the most part it failed in hilarious ways, but even with the amount of music involvement, it's still a rare surprise to see an act actually write a song specifically for a game, and even weirder that we'd be hearing about it from Korn of all acts, and even weirder still that their little love ballad was written for HAZE. Yeah, we know.
"Gaming for me is a religion and Haze is the shit!” screamed Jonathan Davis, Korn's frontman and all-around geeky guy. "I had to come up with a track that can hit up that kind of rush I get from the game and I think we really rocked it!!"
Well, there you have it, kids. That's two exclamation points, indicating that Jonathan Davis is most certainly not fucking around when he puts pen to paper to craft the title track, "Haze." Guess we can't wait to hear the new song? HAZE is still exclusive to the PS3 this year, so we won't have to wait much longer to find out.
