Def Jam is Most Definitely Next-Gen
EA and Def Jam Enterprises have renewed their agreement, ensuring Def Jam 3 hits the next-gen systems.

E3 2005 gave us a taste of what EA Chicago was cooking up for the PlayStation 3 with a demonstration of Fight Night Round 3, but it seems that's not all they're up to. The over-the-top fighter splashed with hip-hop culture known as Def Jam will also be seeing a next-gen installment, thanks to a renewed multi-year exclusive agreement between Electronic Arts and Def Jam Enterprises.
Def Jam 3 (a working title) promises another heaping mix of urban lifestyle and rap culture, this time taking the fight out of the ring and onto the streets. The fact that EA compares it to "a big budget action film" suggests that a good amount of moolah is going into this one to ensure it turns out right.
