Bethesda Delivers Splash Damage on the Masses

Partnerships run rampant.

Bestheda Softworks has announced a partnership with Splash Damage, solidifying Bethesda's commitment to its AAA titles. With Splash Damage's expertise in online multiplayer games, such as Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, one can only hope that Bethesda partnered with them to bring some multiplayer flavor to Fallout 3, which is due out in the Fall.

This partnership is inline with Bethesda's announcement earlier this year that they were opening new offices in Japan, a move that's sure to prove lucrative as they try to penetrate the burgeoning Asian market.

“Bethesda Softworks has repeatedly been responsible for outstanding games as both publisher and developer.” said Paul Wedgwood, Owner and Creative Director of Splash Damage. “Both of our studios share a passion for creating great games, and we’re confident that this partnership will result in even greater experiences for gamers.  We’re really looking forward to working with Bethesda.”
“This could not be a more perfect fit,” said Vlatko Andonov, President of Bethesda Softworks.  “We are extremely impressed with Splash Damage and the quality titles they produce. They are highly creative and innovative, and have demonstrated a high level of dedication to their projects. We are confident that gamers everywhere will be thrilled with the offerings from this collaboration.”

It remains to be seen what role Splash Damage will play in Bethesda's software but once we know the meat of the arrangement, we'll be sure to let you guys know.
