I heard that this Fallout 3 thing from Bethesda Softworks might be a little on the huge side. Supposedly, the previous two games set the bar for western RPGs in a way that few others have done in the last decade. Whether you believe that or not, and if you've played them you know it's true, Bethesda Softworks is throwing together a collector's edition for those fans who can't get enough Fallout 3 in their life.

The premium package of Fallout 3 will come in a customized, metal Vault-Tec lunch box, which contains the game, a 5” Vault-Tec Vault Boy Bobblehead, 'The Art of Fallout 3' hardcover book, and 'The Making of Fallout 3' DVD with an inside look at Bethesda Game Studios and the team that crafted this amazing adventure. The art book and bobblehead alone are enough to get me to plunk down my hard earned cash. The rest is just the cherry on top.

“We’re very excited about this collector’s edition and believe it truly offers gamers an amazing mix of unique items from the Fallout universe, combined with a great behind-the-scenes look at what goes into developing such an immense title,” said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks.

Fans of the Fallout series won't be disappointed with the collector's edition or the game. In the post-apocalyptic streets of Washington, D.C., gamers will create any kind of character they choose, with a character creation sequence that will blow your mind, and fight for survival among the Super Mutants, Ghouls, and Raiders that now inhabit the world. The game is slated for a Fall 2008 release.
