Welcome to Shipping Out, our weekly notice of all them thar games that ship from publishers to retailers in preparation for their street date a day later. In many cases, these games won't be on store shelves until tomorrow, but in the interest of getting the word out, letting the PR departments have their fancy quotes and saving us sanity as the weekly releases pile up, we're going to be consolidating everything down into one handy little news story at the end of the day, along with this description. Neat, eh? And lazy!

[NHL 2K8]
With brand new tweaks to the franchise, goaltending AI, Signature Style moves from NHL stars, new face-offs, and the right analog stick-driven ProStick controls, 2K Sports' latest NHL title has gotten a fresh coat of paint. Granted, most of it is for next-gen, so to get the full online experience and purdy new visuals, you'll need a PS3, but PS2 owners aren't completely left in the lurch.

It may have taken us PS3 owners a little longer to get a taste of Codemasters' latest off-road racing effort, but supposedly the wait was worth it. If Codemasters are to be believed, the PS3 version is the definitive iteration of the series, with tweaked lighting and a better framerate, plus all the original 45 cars in various brands and flavors in a myriad of off-road racing types. Who says good things can't come to those who wait?
