Officially DiRTy
Codemasters spills the DiRT on its next-gen Colin McRae outing. And you’ll never guess what they’re calling it these days!

The PlayStation 3 has been at no shortage of quality racers, even four months into its youth (and with a downloadable patch for buddy lists on the way, that might include you too, Motorstorm!), but those still yearning for a little off-road, rally racing will get their fix, and as soon as this summer.
Codemasters has been keeping us posted on its hallmark speedster for nearly a year now, from initial announcements to licensed athletes, and what went from Colin McRae Rally ’07 to DIRT: Colin McRae Off-Road will now be known as simply… DiRT. No more, no less. And yes, the peculiar capitalization is crucial.
Also joining the party are a slew of new races from our very own Championship Off-Road Racing (call it C.O.R.R., if you will), which should blend in just fine with the current mix of Rally, Hill Climb, Rally Raid, Rally Cross and Crossover events. Hit the off-road C.O.R.R. circuits with up to 10 other drivers, with monsters like the Super Buggies and Pro 4 Trucks and just a few jumps, drop-offs and moguls to your advantange. G’head, get dirty, then relive it all with the game’s dynamic replay system!
DiRT, which is still rocking the “RP,” should be slinging mud into retail this summer (the 360/PC versions hit in June, with PS3 coming soon after). Get a Flash-o-licious look at the game at its official website or peep the purdy stills we’ve got waiting in our media section.
