If there's one thing that a college sports freak obsesses about as much as how this year's favorite team is doing, it's how old dynasties performed. True enthusiasts can tell you exactly who scored the most points in 1972, what school they played for, where they ended up if they moved into the NBA, what teams they went to after going pro, what kind of car they drove, how many pets they had and if they trimmed their nosehairs. Because they're dedicated like that, man.

Clearly 2K Sports is trying to pay homage to that kind of yesteryear love by adding a whopping ninety teams to the roster list for College Hoops 2K8, including 69 full teams from days gone by (2K threw out the 1990 Loyola Marymount Lions and the 1982 North Carolina Tarheels for those that get the references), 15 all-time school teams (again, 2K mentions the histories of Duke and Michigan State all cobbled together into a best-of-the-best lineup) as well as six all-time conference teams.

Somewhere, somebody is pooping their pants with joy right now. Hopefully you aren't sitting next to them.
