It’s real, it’s next-gen and we have the first details and media to prove it!

Vigilant gamers and web snoopers alike might have seen this coming some time ago, when an eerie teaser hinted that the government’s best kept secret was once again out, but finally we have our concrete proof.
Today, Midway welcomes BlackSite: Area 51, a chilling first-person shooter that claims to be the next-generation game to redefine the genre. How so? With a sly integration of state-of-the-art technology and game design, player decisions that effect the story’s outcome and a legion of “unidentified enemy races” to be disposed of by you and your soldier comrades. Ok... 2/3.
"BlackSite: Area 51 gives players the opportunity to experience next–generation, first person shooter action in one of the world's most intriguing and mysterious environments," squealed Denise Fulton, studio head, Midway Studios – Austin. "Gamers will be instantly immersed in the game’s seamless storyline, set in the desert and small towns surrounding Area 51 that feature highly detailed environments that transform themselves into awesome battlefields. Without question, BlackSite: Area 51 will raise the bar in the next generation FPS genre with its stunning visuals, life–like squad interactions and its multitude of online multiplayer modes."
The solo campaign arms players in a present-day setting as seasoned veteran sent by the government to lead a team of “secret soldiers” to investigate an even more secret landmark, Area 51, once word of those aforementioned aliens gets out (or, could potentially get out? We don’t even know anymore). Expectedly, only the most advanced and cunning of weapons and vehicles will get the job done. We trust you’ll put them to good use.
Shh, don’t tell anyone, but Area 51: BlackSite is expected to see its day in retail sometime this summer. See? Keeping a secret isn’t so tou--what? You spilled the beans to your closest friends, family and great grandmother already? Shoot, man, I guess we mind as well direct you to some spine-tingling new media since its now public knowledge.
