Here's A Shocker: BioShock Headed To PS3
The rumor mill is always churning: and occasionally, it's right.

For a while now, people have been speculating over the fate of a BioShock port: would 2K Games bring the 2007 GOTY hit to the smaller install base of the PS3? Bucking the current trend of beefy multiplayer, BioShock instead focused on delivering a refined, near perfect slice of single player heaven. And hoooo boy, it paid off. In return, the game received worldwide praise and sold very well. Allowing more gamers to get in on the action by bringing the game to the PS3 seemed like a good idea. But that's all it was, until a press release landed in our mailbox today confirming that 2K is doing just that.
Slated to arrive this October, BioShock is making its debut on the PS3 with some extra content not seen in its original iteration on the 360. While that won't make up for the entire year we had to do without, it'll begin the healing process. We're expecting that 2K sticks to the October release date, since most of the game's content has long since been finished, the only task at hand is to make sure the thing actually runs on another console.
Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K, promised that as we get closer to the release date the company will be "revealing the new features and content that will make this a must-have game for its new audience, as well as for those who enjoyed it on the other platforms.” toot toot You hear that? The hype train is on its way.
