"Zatch Bell! Mamodo Fury offers fans gameplay creating an authentic experience true to the popular animated series," ventures Naruo Uchida, Namco Bandai Games America Inc.'s Vice President of Localization. "With tons of mamodo teams to choose from, players will become fully immersed in exciting battles and great looking action."

And there's the payoff right there. No needing to wade through our overly lengthy intro paragraphs to find out what yet another cryptic headline is all about, we're just cutting straight to the chase here. Because we love you. And also your sister. Cause she's hot. But we digress.

For those still scratching their heads, we'll fill you in: Zatchbell! (one word or two words depending on who you talk to, but always with the exclamation point) is an animated series on Cartoon Network that pairs up 100 humans with 100 demons (the mamodo referenced at the beginning of this story) in an effort to become the next Mamodo King every 1000 years. One of those kids happens to be one Zatch Bell, and, well, there's lots of magic use and demon/human tag-team action.

Perfect fodder for a licensed game, right? Exactly, which is why the continued partnership between Bandai and Cartoon Network gets us yet another themed game. This time around, things are (surprise, surprise) action-based, allowing up to four players to participate in mad scrambles as either humans or mamodo, in environments and with characters ripped from the TV show. The voice cast from said TV show have reprised their roles, as all good licensed games should have, and, well... y'know, we should probably just point you to the [ps2media=995]Zatchbell! media page[/ps2media] and let you take a peek at what we're talking about.

If you already know the show, and crave yet another party-style game with story elements pulled from the broadcast material, you're in luck; the game is in stores as you read this. Hooray!

[Update]
Apparently we had our facts wrong, and have since been corrected. We made the appropriate changes to the story. Thanks, Mike!
