XSEED Brings Us Wild ARMs 4 and Shadow Hearts 3
Two tremendous RPGs will be hitting North America in the first quarter of 2006.

XSEED Games, a new game company headed by the former president of Square Enix's North American division, Jun Iwasaki, announced today that it has received exclusive publishing rights for two major RPGs, Wild ARMs 4 and Shadow Hearts: From the New World. Both games are currently scheduled for a first quarter release in 2006.
Wild ARMs 4 will place players in the shoes of Jude Maverick, whose world is torn asunder when he sees the sky begin to tear and watches as ships began to invade his homeland. The game will feature new improvements to the series, including the HEX battle system, which places characters and enemies on a grid composed of a number of hexagons, each of which can grant special abilities or debilitations. It will also introduce a new platforming aspect to the series, allowing much more interaction with the environment and creating some pretty cool puzzles that weren't possible in previous installments of the series.
Shadow Hearts: From the New World, the third iteration of the Shadow Hearts, takes place in American this time around. Johnny Garland is investigating a suspected criminal who had escaped from custody, and upon finding him, witnesses the criminal being swallowed up by a monster appearing in a green light known as a 'window'. These incidents have been occurring all over the States, and along with what can only be described as a 'unique' cast of characters, he sets out to discover what is happening. The series retains its spectacular Judgement Ring system with a few new improvements, most notably the Stock System, which allows players to chain combos or use 'Double' attacks, in which a character can perform two attacks in one turn.
"We are extremely excited to launch XSEED Games with these two quality role-playing games," said Jun Iwasaki. "Our extensive past experience working with some of the highest quality titles in the industry has really honed our ability to spot the best in interactive entertainment. These two titles are the first of what the XSEED Games label will come to represent in bringing great entertainment to the U.S. audience. We expect both Wild ARMs 4 and Shadow Hearts to not only appeal to the existing fans of the series but also attract newcomers."
