The whole desktop buddy phenomenon is always interesting. Having a little companion interacting with your desktop's windows and taskbar is certainly a fun novelty, but up until now, there haven't been too many video game related options.

Earlier this month, we told you about Namco's opening of the official We Love Katamari website, and indicated that they'd be rolling out new features over time. The first of those major features (aside from the King of All Cosmos-commented fan art) is in fact a Prince desktop buddy.

The buddy actually pipes in with relevant info from the WLK site, passing along any updates to the content therein, and allows for some limited customization if you prefer one of the Prince's cousins. We personally stick with the original, but then we did that as we played through WLK too, and the experience was certainly a pleasant one. We'll leave it up to you to choose your own fate, of course. Choose wisely.
