Electronic Arts has announced that The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age has made its way onto stores shelves. In this epic quest, players will venture through Middle-earth in RPG-like fashion, assembling a team of heroes and taking part in turn-based battles on the side of the Sauron. The game features many movie-inspired events, such as crossing paths with the demonic Balrog in the Mines of Moria or defending the fallen city of Osgiliath, while taking on individual quests or interacting with key characters of the Fellowship.

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age is available now for the suggested retail price of $49.99. The game is rated "T" for "Teen."
