Uh oh, hear that? It's the low rumble of an approaching Disney marketing tsunami, come to forcefully inform us of the release of a new movie. If you strain your ears, past the sound of bong rips and keg stands (we know it's all you guys ever do, but there's more to life, namely endless hours of video games), you can almost hear the whisper of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, followed quickly by a gasp for air. That's a looong title.

But it's here, finally. The game, of course, not the movie, you'll have to wait allll the way until December 9th to see that. But hey, why not imbibe in heavily licensed C.S. Lewis lore before you watch the movie so you can shout "I played this part!" every two seconds, pissing off other theater patrons enough to get them to throw gummy bears at you. Mmmm... Free gummy bears.

"The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe video games beautifully translate the film into an epic interactive experience," claims Andrew Adamson, film director. "They demonstrate the importance of having a film team that is involved in the production of the video games inspired by that film. Players will truly feel as if they have walked through the wardrobe doors and into Narnia, where they can control the destiny of the characters."

"The Chronicles of Narnia is one of The Walt Disney Company's most highly-anticipated ventures this year," burbled Graham Hopper, senior vice president and general manager, Buena Vista Games and master of burbling. "The Narnia video game represents collaboration between film making and game development at its best. The game immerses players into the land of Narnia and lets them experience an extensive adventure beyond the epic film."

For those curious, the game was developed by Traveller's Tales, who pretty much have a strangle hold on the licensed game department. It'll set you back $50 if you want to see bits of the movie early, and you'll notice we haven't told you anything about the game itself. We're devious like that. Oops, end of the news story!
