Square's action/fighter game, The Bouncer, supposedly broke free from the vicious rumors that it would be delayed (insert your own Nintendo joke here), but unfortunately things have taken a turn for the worse. At E3 this past May, it only showed up on screen with short cut-scenes and no actual footage of gameplay. This is usually a sign of delay so close to launch time (52 days!).

Square has no plans to cancel the game at all, but apparently the development team at Dream Factory is reportedly having to speed things up a little because of the long development time that the PS2 has earned a reputation for. The latest on The Bouncer is that it has been delayed until after the year 2000. But don't get too upset because IGN has said that the game will now appear on store shelves in January, not December, like Square had previously said. Let's hope this doesn't get delayed almost 3 years like Perfect Dark did!
