Crave Drops a Deuce
Tokyo Xtreme Racer DRIFT 2 and Th3 Plan have arrived! No poopy jokes, please.

You know it's a good day to be a PlayStation 2 owner when you're able to waltz into your local retailer and snag a pair of new releases for half the price for a single piece of next-gen software. All through the mysterious ways of Crave Entertainment, who today, caters to its infinitely loyal (of whom we have no way of proving) budget market with a double scoop of $14.99 releases: Tokyo Xtreme Racer DRIFT 2 and Th3 Plan. It's th3 awesome.
Our former title continues the well-regarded TXR legacy, when a new tournament fires up following the mysterious disappearance (gasp!) of the reigning drift champion. For us, it's a good enough excuse to zig-zag through the picturesque mountains of Japan (Hakone, Niko, Haruna and Akagi, if you must know) with nearly 180 rides from 16 manufacturers. Think of it as a proper tribute to the homeland of drifting.
On a more tactical note (humor!), there's Th3 Plan, a stealth/action mash-up from Eko Software that has you pulling off a master heist across over a dozen levels. The game has you heading up a group of seven professional robbers, to each his own essential thieving skill (acrobats, demolition, you know the drill), not to mention the wealth of high-tech gadgetry you'll have to fiddle around with. And with the ability to play with two others pals as the action occurs simultaneously on three screens... at least it'll look cool, eh?
Tokyo Xtreme Racer DRIFT 2. Th3 Plan. $15 each. Out now. Go-go budget spending!
