State of Emergency

Sweet, Sweet Boomstick Luvin'

THQ's newest batch of Evil Dead screens are chock full o' Deadite-basting gore.

Now granted, the decision to pick up a license based on a movie series that has a cult following at best may not have been done with the clearest of minds, but that doesn't mean THQ isn't going to work over the license as best as they possibly can to milk a worthwhile game or three out of it.

The next-gen digital representation of Ash, everyone's favorite Duke Nukem inspiration, seems like it's in capable (if slightly frightening) hands, since THQ has shacked up with Vis Interactive, the same guys that brought you last year's State of Emergency. If anyone knows how to break off a little rampant carnage, it's these guys.

The latest batch of screenshots released today offer plenty of glimpses of the cartoony violence that Vis seems to have down pat, but we'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not the game is going to be something you'd be down with. Enjoy.
