After its outstanding sales performance on the PlayStation 2, Activision's Spider-Man has been selected for admission into the "Greatest Hits" collection. In addition, Spider-Man will become a "Platinum Hit" on Microsoft's Xbox and "Player's Choice" title on the Nintendo Gamecube, making it one of the few times a single game has been recognized by all three of these prestigious programs simultaneously.

For those of you who aren't fond with the Spider-Man title, it's based on the recent blockbuster movie with the same title, starring Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe. Spider-Man casts players as the web-slinger himself on a mission to put a stop to the sinister Green Goblin and his legions of evil.

As a "Greatest Hit," Spider-Man will be re-launched with new packaging, and as with all "Greatest Hit" titles, will be on sale for a reduced retail price of $19.99.
