"Today, with new development studios around the world, KOEI games have become the foundation for all forms of entertainment including books, music, anime and theatre. As we boldly stride into the next generation, our imagination and creativity forge a path beyond old boundaries," cried Mr. Kiyoshi Komatsu, President of KOEI Corporation. "This is the first glimpse of our ongoing dedication to your enjoyment: bold new visions to awe you, trusted companions to reassure you, and powerful warriors that have and will continue to captivate consumers around the globe."

As Mr. Komatu's, er, strong words of assurance might have suggested, KOEI has got just a hint of confidence as it prepares for the next generation. The company has a pair of PS3 projects ready: the previously announced futuristic racer, Fatal Inertia, as well as BLADESTORM: The Hundred Years' War, which may very well be Ni-Oh under a swankier title.

Not only that, but Samurai Warriors is getting an honest to goodness sequel, Gitaroo Man has been reincarnated on the PSP, an--awww hell, just check out the line-up for yourself!

Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2

Although both PS3 titles and the handheld Dynasty Warriors sequel are yet to get SCEA's green light for a concept, we wouldn't fret too much about them getting the go-ahead. Mr. Komatu's plans for world domi--err, expansion will not be denied! Check back at E3 for the goodness, folks.

UPDATE: We stand corrected on our name-changing hunches! A KOEI rep has confirmed that Ni-Oh and BLADESTORM are actually two separate titles.
