We say this with pretty much every news story about a game getting an official web site, but it's true: all major games need a web presence. It's not just that the games have an official site to get pinged by search engines, official sites often provide a sort of one stop shop for content about a game without having to jump through the hoops of visiting a games site. Of course, you're reading about this on a games, site, and we naturally just assume you'd want to check us out for game info, but hey, we're clearly delusional.

But anywho, back to the matter at hand. The official Rule of Rose web site has the usual stuff you'd expect from a promo site; wallpapers (taken from the award-winning and, at times, incredibly surreal CG cutscenes in the game), special icons crafted to look like the black board interface of the game, and a ton of info about the game itself, including storyline, characters, game world and gameplay bits, plus trailers and an interview with game creators Shuji Ishikawa from developer Punchline, Makoto Hanafusa from developer Shirogumi, and Yuya Takayama from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, who published it in the game's native territory.

Now, granted, we've tried our best to replicate some of the content on the official site at our Rule of Rose game page, but a few (awesome) screenshots and a lone (equally awesome) trailer are nothing on what Atlus has put together. So head on over, check things out, get pissed that it doesn't seem to work properly in Firefox, open the sucker in IETab and bask in the glow of a info-packed site. Oh, and as always be sure to tell them TotalPlayStation sentcha!
