The first Ratchet & Clank was a surprisingly great game. It's not that Insomniac, the game's creators, didn't craft solid games - their previous PlayStation Spyro efforts were nothing if not polished and well-made - it's just that R&C tuned out so good that it was still a little surprising.

Which brings us to now, where everyone knows what the Los Angeles-based developer is capable of, and now it has the unenviable task of one-upping itself. Fortunately, it looks like they'll be able to do, and then some. Rather than trying to dazzle you with endless screens of the game in action, the boys and girls over at Insomniac seem content to just toss you the goods in uber-tasty video form.

The two-plus minute trailer showcases some of the game's newest features, including the new lock-on system, new vehicles, weapons, and enemies, and the tasty new spherical worlds. Not enough, you say? Fine, then, Mr. Picky; while you wait for the movie to download, fest your eyes on these tasty new screenshots. Just remember how much PSX2.com loves you and think of us during the holidays.
