Ubisoft has given word that Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, the sequel to one of last year's breakthrough titles (we certainly loved it), has made its way onto store shelves. With a supernatural creature seeking his destruction, it's up to the Prince to embark on a dark new quest to a cursed island, both to save his own life and unravel his destiny. Improving on the already impressive features of its predecessor, Warrior Within sports a few new free-form fighting system, which includes an all-new projective attack system, new devastating powers for the Sands of Time, and a brutal new underworld for the bad-ass Prince to test his skills in.

"Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is already one of the most critically acclaimed games this year," boasted Ubisoft vice president of marketing Tony Kee. "Warrior Within builds on the momentum of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time by creating a darker, edgier experience. With more ferocious enemies, deadlier bosses, more treacherous environments and a new, innovative combat system, this beautiful masterpiece will rule the holiday season."

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, being a more intense title than The Sands of Time, carries a "M" for Mature rating, as well as a full $49.99 retail price.
