Jack Sparrow won't be back to slaying theaters in the fateful Pirates of the Caribbean conclusion for another few weeks, but it just so happens peg-leggin' PS2 owners will be getting their swashbucklin' fix early. No, it's not a pre-release of the At World's End game, but Bethesda Softworks (who totally isn't responsible for the next Pirates game - that'd be Disney Interactive) has trumpeted the induction of last year's Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow into the Greatest Hits catalog, in turning hacking its price tag down to a measly $19.99.

"We are thrilled that Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow has been so enthusiastically received by consumers following its release last summer," blushes Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks, "The fact that the game has been added to the list of best-selling games for the PlayStation 2 system is a wonderful recognition of the legions of fans around the world who have enjoyed this entertaining title."

Vlatko ain't the only grinning chap around these parts: now we can finally plunk down the proper cash for a copy of the game without cutting into our pirate-themed cosplay funds! Since... it's Pirate Tuesday in the office and all...
