You know, we weren't supposed to even get another Onimusha game. Onimusha 3 was going to close out the series, wrapping things up into a neat little trilogy that tied up all the loose ends and had Jean Reno as a guest star and playable character, just like all trilogies should. But here we are, with a copy of Dawn of Dreams sitting on our desk and the news that the game should be in stores by the time you read this.

The steel cage death match to determine who will review the game will start in about five minutes. Yes, that means we're excited about getting a fourth game.

"The Onimusha series has been praised by consumers and the press for its addictive gameplay and immersive experience, this new Onimusha is no exception," gushed Todd Thorson, Capcom's director of marketing. "Even with the success of the first three titles, we went back to the drawing board, reevaluated the series and retooled the gameplay and made something that is fresh, exciting and distinctly Onimusha."

In particular, the game plays even more like an action RPG, allows you to swap between characters (as well as issue a partner orders, both on the fly), offers unique combos for each character, and a completely new storyline that takes place 15 years after the end of Onimusha 3. Yes, we'd say that's a nice way to keep the series fresh.

We'd like to make this story a little longer and more informative, but honestly, you don't really care do you? You're not even reading this. You're bombing down the street rocking out to your Fall Out Boy CD and praying your local game store still has a copy, aren't you? Well, that's just fine because we're gonna go play the game now. We'll see you in a week.
