Hockey Season, 2K Style
NHL 2K7 is here.
Published: October 3, 2006
For a second, we were actually tempted to use something as retarded as "the puck stops here" for our headline, but wisely refrained (mainly because we probably already used it a while back). No, for this news story of NHL 2K7 shipping to stores today, we're just going to stick to the straight stuff. Like this:
"The NHL season has now officially started for PlayStation 2 consumers," boasted Greg Thomas, president of Visual Concepts, a 2K Sports studio. "NHL 2K7 truly provides gamers with the most authentic, enthralling hockey video game experience to date with the introduction of unique camera angles, fluid skating animations, striking visuals, enhanced ProControl, and unparalleled online gameplay."
Well, see there you have it. No need to really go into any more detail beyond perhaps mentioning all the other news stories we've posted as 2K Sports' steady stream of releases have allowed. There's the cover athlete, the new control system, the Sub Pop-powered soundtrack, the new camera stuff and the rivalry system. And they say we don't cover games well enough here. HA! We reword our press releases with the best of 'em! Sometimes, we even avoid padding our news stories with like three paragraphs of useless filter too.
But not this time.
