Queen is one of the greatest bands in the history of music. There, we said it. If you disagree, then obviously the news that SingStar Queen is headed to your PS2 and PS3 probably doesn't have you as excited as we are. That's cool, though. You're wrong of, course, but hey, no judging here. If you could just go sit oveeeeeeer there with all the other stinky kids, that would be just awesome.

All faux-hipster pretentiousness aside, we are ridiculously psyched to hear that Sony has finally confirmed that, yes, SingStar Queen is coming. We'll only have to wait until August 18th before we can finally start shamelessly belting out the awesome four part harmonies of "Bohemian Rhapsody" with just two mics because were that awesome.

Though the two versions will be fairly similar, there's one very important distinction if you're a PS3 owner: you get five extra songs the PS2 duders and dudettes won't get to scream along to. Sony hasn't busted out the full track list yet, but they specifically listed 'Another One Bites the Dust,' 'We Are The Champions,' 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' 'Under Pressure' for the PS3 version and 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love,' 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' 'We Will Rock You,' 'Fat Bottomed Girls' for the PS2 one. We're guessing there's going to be more than a little crossover, and we still think the PS3 version could just have launched for like $20 as a download for the vanilla PS3 SingStar, but that's a rant for another time.

No, for now we'll just giggle happily and start counting the days until the game arrives mid-August.
