Electronic Arts made the announcement today that Need for Speed Underground 2 has shipped to retailers nationwide for all platforms. Riding on the success of its best-selling predecessor, NFSU2 once again immerses players into the intense world of underground racing. Where rival street races are prime to erupt at any time, players are able to meticulously tune out and specify their cars and then put them to the test in events that span five massive, free-roaming neighborhoods. New gameplay modes include StreetX, Downhill Drift and the Underground Racing League, and also returning is online play for taking the race online.

Need for Speed Underground 2 can be found in stores tomorrow, if not today, decaled with an "E" for "Everyone" rating and a $49.99 MSRP.
