Fancy Some Naruto Goodies?

Namco Bandai wants to give you stuff, won't you let them?

Though these are usually the kind of announcements we're used to doing before a game ships, since they're usually meant to drum up a bunch of pre-release interest, the very fact that it's happening at all is cool enough for us to give a little nod to. We're talking, of course, about free stuff, the two most beautiful words in the English language (well, maybe not the most beautiful; we can think of a couple other two-word combos that are pretty purdy).

Specifically, it's the official site for Naruto: Ultimate Ninja the surprisingly good old-school fighter from Bandai's CyberConnect 2 wing (the folks responsible for all four of the .hack games released a while back, as well as the upcoming .hack//G.U. Vol 1: Rebirth). In addition to giving us an excuse to throw three different links into one sentence (which might be a record), the site apes the whole Ninja Academy theme from the series.

By registering, you'll get a handful of differenthings; access to videos showing more advanced combat moves, the option of setting up an @Ninja-Academy.com e-mail address all your own, weekly updates, and the big 'un: sweepstakes that can net you a copy of the game, t-shirts, strategy guides, action figures and 4-card packs of the Naruto collectable card game. Normally, we'd say this is the kind of stuff that only kids are interested but we happen know from first-hand experience that Naruto's appeal seems to defy age limits.

Sooo, head on over and check out the site. Before you do, though, feel free to take a peek at [/ps2review=473]our review[/ps2review] and perhaps some of the [ps2media=974]screens thereof[/ps2media]? Oho, three links in a single sentence again! Woo hoo!
