Football fans are having a hard enough time trying to adjust to the fact that the only NFL games they'll play for the rest of their young lives will be a product of EA, but now they'll have to realize that those games will also rock the Madden brand, at least for a few more years. That's because Electronic Arts inked a multi-year agreement with John Madden today, for the sake of keeping his name on their NFL franchise and allowing them to continue to consult with him on future iterations in the series. Financial terms were kept secretive on this one, but take a wild guess, why don't you?

The 2006 season rushes to stores with the release of Madden NFL 06 on August 9.
