Back on Monday, we said that we were expecting a couple of news stories about games finally finishing up. For whatever reason, August 28 spells the beginning of the end for a lot of PlayStation gamers' wallets, but we honestly didn't expect that we'd be writing this many stories. Yeah, granted, it's only four (so far), but after both Naruto games for the PS2 and for the PSP were announced as gold, we're still staring at a couple more.

The first is yet another Namco Bandai Games America release, that of the third and final chapter in the G.U. reboot of .hack, their multi-format virtual-MMO RPG epic. ,hack//G.U. Vol. 3: Redemption will hit shelves on September 10th. To complement the game going gold, we've kicked up a bunch of new screens and a few smallish videos for your enjoyment.

The PSP isn't being left out here either; hot on the heels of yesterday's announcement of a contest linking the game to the upcoming Rob Zombie remake of Halloween, Dead Head Fred has been officially bagged and tagged and is headed to mass manufacture as you read this. It'll hit on the aforementioned release smorgasbord of August 28th.
