More .hack Headed Stateside
Oh c'mon, you didn’t think they were going to stop at the first volume of a complete series relaunch, did you? Well too bad, cause they aren't.

Massively Muliplayer Online Role-Playing Games are cool. Not cool cool, although with something like 80 bazillion people playing World of Warcraft, it's now sold more copies than Grand Theft Auto III, which was arguably a cultural phenomenon, but it's cool as a concept. It's also not going anywhere as a gaming truism (again, WOW's success has seen to that), which means in the future people are probably going to be playing some pretty kick ass and completely immersive MMOs.
But what happens when those completely immersive MMOs won't let you log out? I mean, you can't just leave the game running, you've got like a lvl 55 Paly and some kick ass armor that you finally got after running that 80 person instanced raid, right? Right? Yeaaaahhh, you know what I'm say, you know. Problem is, this is exactly what happened to Haseo and crew after fighting Tri-Edge at the very end of .hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth in The World, .hack's in-game MMO, and hopefully you actually played that game because if not, we totally spoiled the hell out of it for you. Or did we?
Yeah, we kinda did. Oops! Quick, Naruo Uchida, Vice President of Localization at NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., bail us out with a handy quote about the upcoming sequel!
“The second chapter of the .hack series continues the story of Haseo and expands upon the unique action-RPG elements that made the first game so popular,” quickly barks Naruo Uchida, Vice President of Localization at NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. “A compelling story, as well as an upgraded battle system will have players delving deeper into ‘The World’, where many questions will be answered.”
Yes! Questions answered! Continuing story! It's everything we could have wanted in a game that totally hasn't been spoiled yet by our big mouths. Also added to .hack//G.U. Vol. 2: Reminisce is a new battle system, steam bike upgrades, new fighting styles, and the Crimson VS collectable card game. Because what good is a fake MMO that's actually offline where everyone is an NPC if you can't battle them with a digital CCG? No good, that's what.
Reminisce will hit this Summer, and we've got a sexy set of new screenshots for you to pour over. So g'head, pour. Pour!
