Guitar Hero isn't just wooing gamers.

Despite the fact that we haven't been able to get our hands on it ourselves, it's clear that everyone that touches Guitar Hero has fallen in love. And why not, the boys and girls at Harmonix are clearly versed in Dark Arts because everything they make is pure digital crack.
RedOctane's decision to publish the game has finally put them on the map too, and given them enough notoriety to draw the attention of MTV Games, who will be partnering with the publisher to promote the game and it's sequels across all of the MTV channels. That's MTV, mtv.com, MTV Overdrive, MTV2, mtvU, mtvU Über, and MTV 44 ½.
"The partnership between MTV Games and RedOctane was motivated by the strong integration of music and gameplay in Guitar Hero," boasted Kai Huang, CEO of RedOctane and all-around superpimp. "For the first time rock music is not in the background but instead it IS the game!"
"Guitar Hero is the next best thing to actually being a rock star," quipped Joseph Varet, Senior Director of MTV Games in delightfully clichéd sound bite fashion. "It's a unique game that truly delivers on our audiences' passion for music, perfectly representing the kind of experience that MTV Games was established to create."
So there you have it. If you weren't inundated in Guitar Hero love already, you soon will be in between spats of 15-second music video clips and 36,000 reality TV shows.
