You heard it here first, ladies and germs - Rockstar has announced that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the next title in the GTA series (although none of the games are said to be sequels or prequels), has gone "gold." If you have a puzzled look on your face because you don't know what that means, never fear, gentle rogue, as I am here to help. "Gone gold" is a term used in the industry to say when a title has officially been completed and finished 100% and is now in the manufacturing process. It is important to note that GTA:VC has gone gold a full 2 weeks before the game is scheduled to be released, rather than the industry standard 1 week. This is a good sign as Rockstar is taking no chances with risking sell-outs. Giving a full extra week to press copies of the game will provide R* to potentially shatter existing first-day sales record by just having millions of copies available for reservations as well as walk-ups.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will be in retail stores in North America on October 29th and in Europe on November 8th.
