Over the course of E3 2005, I pilfered more than my fair share of swag, however, none was more precious than the one-on-one 45 minute interview I recorded with Yoshinori Sasaki by the grace of Konami. Because Sasaki-San does not speak much English, nor I much Japanese, the wonderful Charles Murakami provided an amazing job of translating for us. He did an amazing job because, not only was he a translator, he also served as the Associate Producer on Ys: The Ark of Napishtim and provided excellent depth in his answers and was able to comment on them clearly.
I did my best to touch on every issue vital to you (the reader) and me (your master and confidant). While I failed to touch on pressing issues like Snatcher and Hideo Kojima's fondness for Joy Division and clear framed glasses, I did ask about his plans for the Playstation 3, the PSP, the future of Ys, and video games in general. So sit back, grab a Coke, and take in all 8-pages of this amateur attempt at capturing the thoughts of an icon.
