Kicking up the anime-style fighting once again, Atari has announced it has shipped Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 with a target in-store date of November 23. For the truly hardcore fans of the series, a limited edition of the game, featuring an exclusive Broly Chibi toy, a behind-the-scenes bonus DVD, a Budokai 3 "Super Trailer" video and insider info on the upcoming DBZ action game, Dragon Ball Z: Sagas, has also been sent off to retailers.

"The Budokai series of Dragon Ball Z games has established itself as a successful fighting franchise in part because its in-game features have consistently become more sophisticated and authentic with each new product introduction," explains Matt Collins, Director of Brand Marketing for Atari's Beverly Studio. "This year's installment takes the biggest gameplay leap forward yet with the introduction of the Saiyan Overdrive Fighting System, making Budokai 3 the best DBZ fighting game ever made."

The aforementioned fighting system is a more authentic replication of the mayhem that takes place in Dragon Ball Z episodes, allowing players to fighting in mid-air, use Teleportation Counters for defense and even pinball opponents using the Teleportation Tornado Combos. Surely a plus for fans of the series.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 should be fully stocked in stores by the 23rd, with the regular edition retailing for $49.99 and the limited edition for ten bucks more.
