Hacking, virtual monster raising, karaoke and a little hack-n-slash are all hitting this week.

Welcome to Shipping Out, our weekly notice of all them thar games that ship from publishers to retailers in preparation for their street date a day later. In many cases, these games won't be on store shelves until tomorrow, but in the interest of getting the word out, letting the PR departments have their fancy quotes and saving us sanity as the weekly releases pile up, we're going to be consolidating everything down into one handy little news story at the end of the day, along with this description. Neat, eh? And lazy!

It's the TPS way.

[PlayStation 2]

[Digimon World Data Squad]
Though there have been more than a few gotta-catch-em-all collect-a-thon monster rearing games imported from Japan, few have reached the level of saturation that Bandai's licenses, from Digimon to One Piece to Naruto have garnered. It's been a couple months since the last Digmon game, and by Devine Decree, we must have another! Bring forth Digimon World Data Squad to fill the niche! Train and evolve monsters! Fight other monsters! Save the children! Save the world! Use exclamation points!

[SingStar '80s] and [SingStar Amped]
Wha-whaaaa? Two SingStar games at once? Clearly someone at Sony Computer Entertainment America loooooves you (we're not telling who, but they're totally cute). How else can we explain the fact that Sony is pumping out two times the sing-along goodness on one day (that's 60 songs for those keeping track, and individual track lists that are better than both of the previous two SingStar games combined? What's that? They probably want to get the PS2 games out there before the PS3 one with all of it's fancy new online-enabled features makes the PS2 ones seem a little less awesome? No, no, that's not it at all, it's because someone at Sony has a crush on you, we told you before! Trust us, it's the better explanation.

[Warriors Orochi]
The time has come. No longer are the worlds of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors fit to co-exist as separate worlds. No, now it's time to throw a whopping 77 characters from both games into their own game. One that looks and plays... well, pretty much like the Warriors games always have, which means a ton of hot, hot hack-n-slash fun, but new upgradeable weapons, the ability to switch between three characters from any of the games in real-time (and even link their Musou Attacks together), plus all that sweet, sweet leveling up that the series is known for should keep fans itching to wear out that Square Button nice and happy.

[PlayStation Portable]

[Coded Arms: Contagion]
Okay, so maybe Konami's first Coded Arms game may have proved -- at least initially -- that first-person shooters on the PSP weren't exactly a wise idea. It was a control thing, for the most part, and a bit of rewiring of gamers' heads as they jumped back to the N64 one-analog-stick-era for controls. Still, there's been no shortage of FPSes on the PSP, and with the changes to the storyline and a more proper use of the light cyberpunk elements of the Coded Arms universe, Konami might just have something here...

"For fans of the Coded Arms franchise, we've enhanced the first person shooter experience by introducing exciting new elements of puzzle-solving and strategy into the gameplay," explains Anthony Crouts, Konami Digital Entertainment's VP of Marketing. "Fans familiar with the original game can also expect an array of new weapons, firearms and explosives to choose from."

[PlayStation 3]

Zippo this week -- at least as far as press releases are concerned.
