For quite sometime now, rumors have been going on that Acclaim Entertainment had the rights to bring over three of Sega's titles to the PlayStation2 console. Both companies have continued to deny any such story.
Today, several insiders finally attained confirmation that Acclaim will indeed be bringing three titles over to the PlayStation2. Acclaim will handle the publishing rights to three high-profile Sega games, including Zombie Revenge, Crazy Taxi and 18 Wheeler Pro Tracker. All three of these games are expected to arrive onto the PlayStation2 sometime after April of 2001.
It is possible that only now did Acclaim actually attain the rights to these games, and only because of the current state of Sega. Prior to these events, the two companies may have maintained negotiating efforts to attain the rights to these games. We will keep you informed on any new developments.
