Vivendi Universal Games (better known as VU Games) announced today that Crash Twinsanity, the marsupial's latest adventure, has shipped to retailers across the nation.

"By combining the classic humor and wacky situations that Crash is known for with a new twist of inventive gameplay, Crash Twinsanity delivers the most robust and funniest Crash platformer ever," said Philip O'Neil, President of North America, Vivendi Universal Games. "The gameplay and story line in Crash Twinsanity truly raise the bar for this world renowned, character-based franchise."

Developed by Traveller's Tales (not the original creator of the series, so you know - that was Naughty Dog), Twinsanity actually has players manning the unlikely combination of Crash and Dr. Neo Cortex, who reluctantly choose to team up when their paradise island is threatened to destruction by a new invading evil. The two can either be controlled separate, or as one, with Crash using Cortex as his new handy weapon (Whiplash, anyone?), though often times the two must protect one another in order to advance throughout the game. In addition, the game features free-roaming environments, practically seamless worlds, tough enemies not to be underestimated, and Dr. Cortex's niece, Nina, as a playable character.

Crash Twinsanity is available at the full retail price of $49.99. Get the full scoop on the game from the official site, if you wish.
