And PC, GBA, DS and GCN, but we won't concern ourselves with them.

Boy, those Traveller's Tales folks must be pret-ty happy with how their partnership with LEGO has worked out. Not only did LEGO Star Wars (which Eidos co-published) turn out to be the sleeper hit of last year, but the sequel looks like it's going to about a billion times more awesome. The math on that might just break your head. But this isn't a story about either of those games. It's about a new LEGO game that may not rock the Lucas sci-fi angle, but certainly holds the promise of something interesting -- especially given Traveller's Tales' track record with the source material.

Bionicle Heroes is based off LEGO's Bionicle line -- and we know that was a huge stretch to decipher that from the title. The Bionicle license is a no-brainer; it's LEGO's most popular line ever, thanks largely in part to the fact that you can build programmable robots out of LEGO blocks (with a little help from some new pieces).

"2006 is a huge year for Bionicle. We are providing strong levels of support for the brand in 2006 and we are excited that the same winning team behind the success of LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game is making the official Bionicle videogame," gasped Jay Bruns, Director of Global Partnerships and Alliances for LEGO Group. "With such a pedigree of highly entertaining and engaging titles for young gamers, we are really looking forward to seeing the Bionicle range bought to life in an immensely fun and immersive experience, both for our core Bionicle fans and for those new to the universe."

Normally, we'd paste in some block of text explaining the game, but, well, there isn't anything to talk about as of yet. As soon as we do learn more, we'll make sure we pass the info along.
