Hey, remember that awesome Peter Chung-created series on Liquid Television with the anorexic assassin with a penchant for dying every episode and all sorts of vaguely kinky quasi-bondage themes? Yeah, they're making a movie out of it. It stars Charlize Theron. And they're making a game, too! It's done! In fact, it's in stores now! Exclamation points!
"We are excited to be partnering with MTV and Terminal Reality to create the first-ever interactive journey into the world of Aeon Flux," screamed an excited(!) Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing for Majesco. "By seamlessly blending familiar elements of the series with exciting game play and new ideas from the film, the game is a dynamic complement to its entertainment counterparts."
"With an exciting combination of stealth, speed, beauty, and acrobatic combat, Aeon Flux is the ideal character for a video game," added Tony Calandra, senior director, MTV Games. "By creating a compelling story that bridges the ground-breaking animated series to the highly-anticipated upcoming film, we believe we will offer a thrilling experience for gamers and all Aeon Flux fans old and new."
As our dear friend Ken pointed out, the game was developed by BloodRayne peeps Terminal Reality, who have a habit of making games that end up being far better than the screenshots would let on. Luckily, we have lots and lots o' them for you to look at and then make blanket judgements and knee-jerk conclusions, so !
