Apparently things aren't always as clear as they seem, as Namco has announced today that it has chosen the song "Blurry" from rock group Puddle of Mudd to be used as the title track for Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. The hit everyone knows by now will play through the game's opening trailer and be used in several of the game's segments.

"The Ace Combat 5 development team had this song in mind when creating the game," revealed Yoshi Niki, Business Unit Director with Namco Hometek Inc. "We are delighted to offer licensed music from one of today's most recognizable modern rock groups to fans of the Ace Combat franchise."

Funny how even hits in American music can have an impact overseas, if not a little late. Ace Combat 5 is expected to make a landing on our shelves on October 25, the same day as another little box of fun known as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Ah, what it is to be a gamer.
