Namco officially announced this week their plans to produce the fourth installment of the well-known Ace Combat series for the next-generation PlayStation2 console.
Ace Combat 4, which will be available worldwide (in North America, Japan, Europe and Australia) promises to bring the gamer one step closer to realistic aerial flight combat.
An early concept of the title was first revealed to be running on a development system for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE). The game is expected to be available in 2001. At this time, no details in storyline or plot have been revealed to the public.
While the first Ace Combat received many negative reviews overall, both Ace Combat 2 and 3 managed to repair many of the flaws found in the original. We will bring you more details as they become available.
