Now this is certainly a little unexpected. Not that we don't think Konami wouldn't have eventually put two and two together, but mixing a public demonstration of Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 with a San Francisco pub (along with a breather for anyone who has to say that full title out loud), is either a recipe for drunken brawls or some seriously geeked-out fans. Either way, it's entertainment, and if you're a soccer fan, a way to get a sneak peak at the game more than six months before its January '07 debut.

In true PR fashion, the event will be covered by the folks at Sirius Satellite Radio's World Soccer Daily (that's Channel 126 for those of you with the dog star's service). PlayStation 2 demo kiosks will be set up, contests will be held, prizes will be given away and faces will be drunk off. Should you want to get in on this, you need only show up at the Mad Dog in the Fog Pub in the Haight and get dowwwwwn.
