Boys and girls at XSEED, we're sorry we haven't been able to get a preview of Wild ARMs 5 up. We love the game, we really do -- perhaps too much, which is why every time we fire the game up to do a quick fact check, another hour and a half disappears. But no matter, we can do a short version right here for all you TPS readers: the game friggin' rocks. Wild ARMs 4's HEX battle system is still in place (and is now ever cooler), all the HEX-based abilities are in place, the same elimination of busy work like healing up your party after every battle, the same sweet graphics (now with a free-roaming world again, woo hoo!), and now, finally characters that you give a hoot about (admit it, WA4 was a snooze-fest when it came to the story).

Oh, you don't have to take our word on it. Sure, that was basically the same preview you'd get of the game in most gaming mags these days since apparently nobody loves Wild ARMs 5 like they should -- especially if you like sweet (and free) 10th Anniversary goodies with your games. Still, if you'd rather get the info straight from the folks at XSEED (and we understand, though we can't hide the fact that it stings a little), you can now check out the official Wild ARMs 5 web site in all its delicious glory.
