Tribes Lives!
Sierra's PS2 port of the PC deathmatch juggernaut is still happening, and we've got the screens to prove it.

Tribes was to be one of the highlight online-compatible games for the PS2 when Sony's supposed online plans rolled out last November. Nestled quietly in a corner among bigger name titles like Tony Hawk 3, Twisted Metal: Black, and Sony's own SOCOM, Tribes looked remarkably faithful to the PC hit that won over so many fans. But, of course, November came and went, and there was no online to be had via Sony's network adapter and no extra storage with the hard drive.
Still, progress on Tribes continues, and if these latest shots from Sierra are any indication, the end result should be just as good as the now aging PC version. Take a look and keep an eye out for a full preview as we near E3.
Boom
When toenails attack
Slick interface and nummy effects
Bird's eye view
Detailed player models
Single player explosions a good
