Time for the Tourists
That is, if you consider the 80 some motorcycles in Polyphony Digital’s new bike-only racer to be “tourists.”

While Gran Turismo diehards may have their sights set on the next installment in their beloved racing franchise to slip out of Polyphony Digital’s studio (which would be GT for either the PSP or PS3, as far we know), today’s announcement may come as somewhat of a surprise. What do we speak of, you ask? Sony Computer Entertainment America has officially announced Tourist Trophy, a PlayStation 2 exclusive that features motorcycles and solely motorcycles for your revving pleasure.
This bike riding simulation comes packing 80+ licensed motorcycles, from the big names like BMW Motorrad, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, Triumph, that will be yours to race across more than 35 international courses, spanning the game’s multiple game modes. TT boldly promises “perfected game physics and graphics,” but seeing as this is coming from the Polyphony Digital team… we’ll take their word on it.
Spring 2006 is when Tourist Trophy will be speeding into a retailer near you. For your viewing pleasure, the official site is trailer-ific, and our media section is chockfull of first screens of the game. Generous bastards, we are!
