With last month's line-up of top notch releases, the competition was definitely stiff, but GameFly customers nonetheless enabled Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to take the top spot of the GameFly Top Ten, as announced today by the online rental service.
"October was a month for the latest releases of popular franchises," commented Jung Suh, co-founder and VP of content/strategic alliances, GameFly. "And with the buzz behind Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, it's no surprise that the game performed as well as it did and topped the charts this month."
The GameFly Top Ten for October goes as follows:
1. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2)
2. Mortal Kombat: Deception (Xbox)
3. X-Men Legends (Xbox)
4. Star Wars Battlefront (Xbox)
5. Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude (Xbox)
6. Fable (Xbox)
7. Mortal Kombat: Deception (PS2)
8. X-Men Legends (PS2)
9. Tony Hawk's Underground 2 (Xbox)
10. Tony Hawk's Underground 2 (PS2)
As unbelievable as it may be, this month has so stellar a list of releases, including Metal Gear Solid 3, Prince of Persia 2, Halo 2 and Half-Life 2 (yes, we do support the multi-console luv) that it even looks to go one up on October. What a season to be a gamer! Check back next month for the results from November.
